Pirate Workshop

On Pirate Day, Year 1 enjoyed welcoming two pirates into school to take part in some lively, hands on pirate activities, including racing model pirate ships using wind power, learning to use a compass to find their way, looking through a pirate telescope and practising their pirate sword skills.

There was plenty of teamwork too, as they worked together to capture the treasure from a pirate ship. The Captain shared the treasure between them and everyone had a piece to take home! Lots of fun was had by all.
