November 2025
Year 3 recently took part in a workshop given by 'Stone-Age Man' who really brought the period to life. He showed the children so many artefacts, some of which were 10,000 years old!
The children were very engaged in the workshop, they loved learning how clever Stone-Age people were. In particular, they were amazed at how very complicated items such as a sewing kit, was stored away inside a deer bone. They also learnt how almost every part of the animal was used to make things, including the bladder, which kept salt dry because it was waterproof.
The children were then shown how the Stone-Age people would make stones 'sing' in order to choose a good one for flint 'knapping ', this looked very tricky but was exciting to watch.
A great day was had by everyone!
