Year 4 Summer Term 2 Newsletter 2026
Dear Parents/Carer,
We have now entered the final term, and we are looking forward to an exciting time ahead of us with a few interesting events. The first being our trip to Drusilla’s where the children will get the opportunity to experience meeting some fantastic animals, ride the train and of course, play in the park.
In Forest School this week, we will be painting and making pizzas in forest school. We will also be testing the children’s times tables knowledge in the MTCs – thank you for all of your support with this.
In Science, we will be investigating the human body, specifically the digestive system and the importance of teeth in conjunction with looking at Health and Wellbeing in SPHERE.
In week 4, we will be having our school disco so get on your dancing trousers! In the same week will be out on the marsh again for our SPARK SPECIES day, investigating the wonderful world of birds.
In week 5, the children will be taking part in sports day, we wish them the best of luck in their races. Also, in P.E. we will be playing rounders.
We will be conducting our final assessments in Reading and Maths, ready to move up into Year 5.
As this will be the last term of Year 4, children will be informed of their new Year 5 classes and spend time with them in the two transition days planned.
Hopefully it will be warm again this term and the sun may decide to visit us, so please ensure if the day is hot, the children have hats and sunscreen.
Thank you for your continued support.
Year 4 Team.
