Year 4 Newsletter Summer Term 1 2026
So, here we are already in the second week of the Summer term. We have an exciting time ahead of us with a few interesting events. The first was our trip to Battle Abbey where the children had a great day and experienced many of the things they covered during their topic work . Next, we have a visit by Artist and Author Ed Boxall who will be helping the children to develop their creative writing. The children will also have workshops with professional local Artist Terry Hobbs.
In Science, we continue to investigate ‘living things’ and in English, we will finish reading the ‘Last Bear’.
In SPHERE we will be concerned with money matters as well as internet safety – of course!
In Maths, we will be focusing on decimals.
We will be starting athletics and playing tennis in P.E. Hopefully it will be warmer this term and the Sunmay decide to visit us so please ensure if the day is hot, the children have hats and sunscreen.
