This term we continue to follow the children’s interests and offer them a mix of inviting activities to provoke their curiosity and develop their natural learning through their investigations and play.  Our focus this term is ‘growing and change’ where we will be sharing the story of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. The nurture toddler group have been sharing the story ‘Jasper and the Beanstalk’.  This supports communication and language skills as well as maths and understanding the world around them. The children have been planting beans and they have been surprised at how tall they have grown.   We are also eagerly awaiting the duck eggs to arrive in nursery.

The pre-school children will continue their weekly visit to Langney Community Library and we are lucky enough to havethe wonderful Shirley who brings in her guitar for a sing song with the children on a Friday morning and to share books with them.

Alongside all our learning we continue with our complete immersion is our mindful approach to nursery life.  The children continue to use all of their senses and deep breathing to harness the full potential and calm of a focussed brain, we also encourage the children to join in with yoga after lunch.  Please also look out for the wellbeing bag that the children are taking turns in taking home.

Lastly, from this term we are using the Meditracker System to advise you when your child has had a bump or a graze.

We look forward to a fun-filled term and continue to enjoy working in partnership with you and if you wish to discuss any of the above, please speak to Caroline.

Thank you once again for all yourcontinued support.
