Nursery newsletter - Autumn Term 2 - November 2024
Welcome to Term 2. Your children are settling into nursery life so well and are enjoying taking part in lots of different activities as well as making friends with each other.
This term, we will continue to offer a mix of activities that are planned from your child’s interests and planned adult lead activities too. This term we will be offering the children the opportunity to explore light and dark and we will then move onto celebrations in December, which will take us to the end of term.
As the term progresses and we move into winter, we will be setting up similar exploration areas to reflect the season and also carry out related activities. To support our learning we will be sharing the stories ‘Whatever Next’, ‘Shark in the Dark’ and the ‘Gingerbread Man’.
The children will often be involved in messy activities so please ensure that they are wearing practical clothes and not their best outfits. We also spend lots of time outdoors and also, when indoors, we will be having windows and doors open, so we ask that you send your child in with a jumper or cardigan and a warm coat as and when the weather gets colder. If you haven’t already done so, can you please send your child in with a named pair of slippers. Can we also ask that you write your child’s name on their lunch box to save any confusion at lunch time. If your pre-schoolchild stays all day, there is the option to order a school dinner.
Alongside all our learning, we continue with our complete immersion in a mindful approach to nursery life. The children use all their senses and deep breathing to harness the full potential of a calm and focused brain. Please speak to Caroline if you would like any further information.
We will be in contact shortly with dates for parent drop-in meetings.
Now that your children are settled, if you would like to come in and help sometime, we would love to have you, please let Caroline know if you are interested.
Thankyou for all your continued support, we are enjoying getting to know you and your children.
